About LSM

My name is John Thomas and I am the owner and director of LSM. Listed below is a history of my experience and achievements.


Professional Experience

I am a Licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist, specializing in family violence prevention, and treatment, problems associated with adolescence, substance abuse, and individual, couples, and family issues.

I have provided over 30,000 hours of direct individual, and group psychotherapy. I offer over 20 years of experience in the development and implementation of personal and proffessional development workshops, and seminars including, employee effectiveness, management and supervisory skill development, interpersonal communication, and stress management for care givers.

I have vast practical experience n the areas of human resources management program design and implementation, training, and training of trainers, community mediation, and employee assistance program design and implementation.

I have over 15 years of teaching experience in vocational, continuing education, undergraduate, and graduate level educational programs, and I coordinate my efforts with other faculty, staff, and the community at large. I provide career, and academic counseling to students of all ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and I specialize in assisting at-risk students.

For 7 years as an Equal Employment Opportunity Manager, I averaged a 97% resolution rate for complaints of discrimination, and sexual harassment, brought to my attention. I am also a member of the Emergency Response Team, providing crisis intervention and counseling to contracted work sites, and state law enforcement officers.
